overall looks • Killian was born with a pelt that was once resembled tar. As he grew out of his puppy stage, he changed both in personality and in coat. His body fur has began to lighten, turning a darl chocolate brown with hint of white along his nape, shoulders, underbelly and snout. His most of his muzzle, legs and the tip of his tail still remain black. Killian is rather large, as a puppy he thrived and grew ahead of his brothers. Days upon days of training created the rippling mass of muscle underneath his coat. He's tried to perfect himself as a lethal machine. His body is littered with scars of varying sizes and depth. Despite the carnage his body has faced, Killian is rather handsome. He keeps himself surprising clean and well-kept as he considers personal appearance important.

Killian doesn't trust easily which is why he is known to be a little hostile. He wears a mask with those he meets, with trust it dissolves and he's comfortable to be himself. (whatever that is, he is still figuring himself out) He finds it better to think of everyone as the enemy until proven otherwise, the technique doesn't yield many friends. Underneath his cold exterior and the many faces of his facade, there lies a compassionate wolf. Those who have gained his trust have earned it and Killian stays loyal, so long as you're useful. Any friends he makes he holds in a high regard. He is shown to fully break down in the presence of someone he trusts. In seemingly random moments he will have bouts of affection and will openly express them either physically or verbally. He doesn't often try to hide his lust for killing and much of the time he can't contain his temptations, preferring to satisfy himself rather than ignore the craving. He prefers his partners to be of an even match to him, as he has the need to prove himself.

He has a soft spot for young wolves, pups and yearlings. Coming into contact with them will invoke his paternal instinct and he becomes protective, treating them as if they were his own. He does his best to teach them, assisting them in growing up and stronger. It isn't uncommon to see him stand up for an obviously weaker wolf. This is his only redeeming quality.

overall history • Killian and Penumbra were the only two pups out of a litter of five that survived. It was the first and last litter his mother had. The family had lived on their own for months at a time until his father established a pack and a safe place for them to live. With the pack and Killian as the established heir, the rigorous training set in. Killian was forced to train day in and day out, striving for perfection lest he be casted out.

At the ripe age of two years it came time for Killian's final test. His father had to ensure Killian would be able to rule without his emotions settling in the way. It was a test of strength and mindless killing. He pitted his only two children together in a match of death. A part of Killian was willing to do it, whatever it cost to satisfy his father once and for all was enough for him. Yet Killian held Penumbra dearly to him. She had been the only family to comfort him from his father's torments. It sickened him to no end. He turned on his father, getting in a few good nips and bites before he was pulled away by the pack. He was subsequently demoted and left bruised and beaten. He would have rather faced death than lived under his father's regime any longer so in the dark of the night he took the chance and slipped away.
He's spent a year of wandering alone, joining a few packs only to leave; he occasionally had the pleasure of a travel partner.

Upon reaching Otliv, Killian had changed his name and made up his mind on what he wanted in life. Somewhat. He needed a purpose and he felt that his calling was to lead. He'd do it in any way possible. His current self reminds him much of his father and it burns him inside at the thought. Perhaps he may change.
